Tinsel and her "Miracle Cure"

I've hit my writer's block.

Wanted to write about Tinsel's Miracle Cure, but I just didn't know how to start. It's been a mentally exhaustive week and I'm practically brain dead by now.

Maybe I can copy my "testimonial" here:

"After two private trainers and two obedience courses, Tinsel was pronounced by her trainers to have reached her maximum and would never progress any further. In other words, she will always remain fearful, reactive, and insecure. We have reached our wits end, and were just managing along, going for late night walks and dodging from crowds, until we finally met Tinsel’s ultimate best friend, Pete.

Pete was, in a sense, our last attempt in helping Tinsel. We were no longer having any high hopes and were surely not expecting any miracles. We were just thinking of giving Tinsel another chance of “improving” a tidbit more so she could live a slightly happier life. Pete turned out to be the miracle that we could never have dreamed of, and we will forever be indebted to him for helping our dear girl.

It may sound too incredible and difficult to believe, but Tinsel has transformed into a completely different dog by the end of our second lesson with Pete. She was so much calmer, so much more at ease, that we were able to go for walks in broad daylight and were no longer running away from people or dogs. After our third lesson, we were able to sit and play with other dogs and humans during our daily walks. We could even enjoy eating out with Tinsel by our feet in crowded outdoor restaurants!

We are now sure that Tinsel will enjoy a happy, healthy life, surrounded with two-legged and four-legged friends. We are dearly grateful to Pete and could not have thanked him enough for empowering us with the knowledge and confidence that we have lacked. His genuine love for animals, combined with his talent in training and rehabilitating problem behaviors, made the impossible, possible. Thank you, Pete, our dear friend and teacher, please keep up the good work and continue passing on your blessings to all those needy souls out there
."

Will write more when my mind is clearer. Meanwhile, enjoy your weekend!

Time to meet up with my dear Mr. Chau now.... Nite!
