From dawn till dusk....

Aug 24, 2009:

Sunrise for Hong Kong 6:04 am;
Sunset for Kenting, Taiwan, 6:23 pm.

How does sunrise right from my own balcony here in Hong Kong, then sunset at a beachside hotel in Kenting, Taiwan, sound?

Hmmm.... enticing.

Another short break from the city - my bday present to hubby.

First a short hideout in Kenting, then back to Kaohsiung to visit his mom, and to celebrate his bday with her (and me) by his side.

Akem....not a bad excuse for another getaway, eh? *^_^*

Cheers, everyone!

The CC Gang

Hello everyone, Tinsel here.

Please say hello to the CC Gang (Caribbean Coast Gang), seen out and about the gardens and trails around the Caribbean Coast.

(From left to right:)

Me, Tinsel the Tibetan Terrier; Kimba the Silky Terrier; Latte the Poodle-Bichon cross; Spike the Miniature Schnauzer; and last but not the least, Mokka the Miniature Poodle.

And by the way, me and Spike hit off pretty well and we've been dating for a little while now. I think we'll make a nice couple, what do you think? ;)

Sorry, big boy....

Got a call yesterday, and Atlas, our big teddy bear St. Bernard, was just "that" close to being adopted, but the adoptee was being turned down by the shelter in the end.

So sorry, big boy, no new home for you yet.

Disappointing? Yes. Very.

I just can't believe how the shelter could've just turned down the adoptee without really looking into his actual background, but instead, based their decision solely on some irrational criteria that they stubbornly clung onto. I mean, are we trying to rehab and rehome these poor dogs, or are we helping someone in hoarding a private collection of dogs?

*sigh*

I'm so sorry, big boy.

I truly, sincerely, hoped I could have helped.

The Tunnel....

Striking down my list, one by one. Slowly but steadily, ploughing through my list of errands. Some done, some pending, yet more coming.

Meanwhile, I think I'm fainting...
If there's any kind of light at the end of the tunnel, I think I'm not seeing it.

*sigh*

I need a break. I need a holiday. Soon.
